Hungry-See

This is a gift,
this hunger-need that drives me panting, dreaming, fantasizing, risking.

Him, more of Him I’m craving for.
I’m so content.

Because I’ve tasted, been filled with the Manna (Manna – What Is It). But I’m still craving! I need to keep on tasting, eating, indulging, move beyond what seems convenient, safe even when I do not always, mostly understand.

Keep asking for this hunger
until I see, it is not bread alone
until I see, Him
until I see, our city.

He turned rivers into a desert,
flowing springs into thirsty ground,
and fruitful land into a salt waste,
because of the wickedness of those who lived there.
He turned the desert into pools of water
and the parched ground into flowing springs;
there he brought the hungry to live,
and they founded a city where they could settle.
