The Year: Hungry-to-see-with-wonder-and-gratitude-what-is-and-beyond

A few thousand years ago, time shocked into slow, dead darkness for a few friends, and with them, the whole of humanity. Heaven’s gift was handed over to an angry mob, actually, to the whole of angry humanity. As He sank into our deepest darkness, found us there, creation’s clock turned a new hour. There is hope!

As our part of creation is pregnant with new life, our clocks turned to summertime. Still in winter attire, we expectantly wait for the new season, hoping for more sun.

Wim shared at different places (including our church) about the Hope of ‘the new hour’ and how profoundly ordinary that Person might look, not what we expect. A group of people from different churches spent a weekend together, organised by our church to focus on the process of healing of damaged emotions and lives. Hope was instilled.

While Wim learned more about asking good questions and listening even better, my friend and I ‘learned’ about the fun of creativity at a fair called Creative Life in The Netherlands. ‘Being creative is not a hobby, it’s a way of life’. Complete and total fun.

We were honored with a visit by Theresa Botma from our sending church in South Africa. We shared life, encouragement and hope.
