Delight or Frown.
Like it was yesterday, we celebrated the coming of Christ – the day God was revealed in a touchable, human body: a face always delighting in us while my face often reveals a frown, destroying.
We delighted in another number – 2019 – but just the next morning we frowned at all the dates in the agenda. Appointments with people wanting only a kind face.
While we are frowning at the decision to emigrate or not with all the paperwork, emotional impact, more than one continent’s legal requirements and tax implications, our church family rejoices over the arrival of our new Senior-pastor-to-be and his family. We expected them much later. Our YWAM team also officially welcomed new young leaders in Brussels.
Although we frown at the stack of paper work for Kirsty to have more respite care, we are so grateful for all the help we’re already having.
We delight in the birth-day and life of Wim.
Wim mirrored a father’s love to a group of young people in the house of prayer in Augsburg, Germany. In his face, they saw the Father’s delight and rejoiced. As did those at church when he spoke on the Creator’s design for all cultures together to mirror His image, delighting in us all. And we frown at everyone different.
One cold morning, before dawn, the Blood Moon (total lunar eclipse) lured. Looking up, all three (sun, moon, earth) were seen as one in dust red, we really saw what is and beyond – He is beautiful, you are beautiful, I am beautiful, we’re all beautiful and he delights!
