What I learned in November
1. One month is a very long time.
As we booked the Teacher’s ticket for South Africa his father’s condition was fluctuating. We decided he should go for the maximum time to be with his father as we knew it would be the last visit. After we have finalised the booking, his father passed on. A very looooong month, too long!
2. I can catch a mouse.
Using a towel! The kitchen door had to remain open for the dog because she had a tummy bug. So in order not to clean floors, I had to catch mice – one in the house and 3 in the garage.
3. I still do not like visiting my dentist.
A very kind, creative person and fun to talk to (when I’m not lying with my mouth wide open). But her job? And the tools she uses? Nope. Don’t like it at all. I count every tooth she cleans, “Just one more to go, just one more to go!”
4. Cleaning, still not my favourite job.
Drying up a floor after the NEW washing machine leaked empty onto the floor is called cleaning.
5. Courage is better than content. (Brené Brown.)
6. Any day is better with:
Reading, writing, beautiful words from the Word, aquarelle strokes with a paintbrush, a cup of tea, pretty cloud formations.
7. I still love the Teacher!
