It is time for pruning and preparing soil for Spring to come.
For years, no centuries, followers of Jesus have celebrated the tradition of Lent, a ‘downward’ journey of death to ‘self’, to be eventually ‘risen with Him’, learning to love All, as He does.
The Brussels English Aglow movement has been going for some years. Wim was invited to share at their Saturday breakfast meeting.
He also attended a men’s breakfast meeting at our local church.
Seeing people, whether to accompany them on their personal and spiritual journeys, or just to connect, are picking up again as he scaled down while doing the course on Spiritual Direction/Accompaniment.
Still a gift is thirty-eight years as a married couple! We are still on the journey of learning to love which looks quite different to the beginning years.
And then there is our Amy, a joyful 2-year-old. Life is a wonderful discovery!
After 29 years, our calling is still the sometimes painful and humbling journey of helping Kirsty live her best life – even now, when she can sleep over at her centre for a few nights a week.
The war between Russia and Ukraine started a year ago on February 24th. So much good and so much bad visible in people. Then the earth shuddered in Turkey and Syria. So much devastation and loss.
It takes years for restoration in both situations. Change will come, it’s the cycle of life. We ask for good in and through it all because our God is forever good.
